Laila

When we decided to return to New Zealand for family reasons we knew we also wanted to foster furbabies.  Shortly after registering with the SPCA, we got the phone call we’d be selected to foster mumma cat and five kittens who had recently come into their care.  Instantly we knew.  We knew mum Laila was family and we were her people.  She came to us with her trauma and opened her heart to us.  Despite whatever it is in her past that still haunts her, Laila trusts and loves us as we do her.

The term foster fail is a lie.  Nothing about how Laila came to be part of our family is a fail.  Laila is home and she and her 5 beautiful babies are our foster success story.
