Our curated collection of Reimagined Restorations
Naki Nik Naks begun as a project to make our cat Laila a massive catio (mainly to save the native birds that live in our garden but also to keep her safe) – the challenge – to use only recycled materials. While Gavin was unemployed he progressed into a garden shed project 'doing up' a 1922 SInger sewing machine cabinet and building a stereo. Long story short, the shed became the worlds tiniest production workshop and the simple 'doing up' became Traceys designer visions of reimagined restoration. Highlighting the natural imperfections of aged wear and damage into functional pieces of industrial art we could incorporate into our lifestyle and living environment. We upcycle other peoples trash and restore things. Where ever possible we research the history of the things and create a story to go with the end product, and naturally we name them to add to their reimagined restored personality.
