Meditation (Wikipedia) is a practice where an individual uses a technique – such as mindfulness, or focusing the mind on a particular object, thought, or activity – to train attention and awareness, and achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm and stable state. Scholars have found meditation elusive to define, as practices vary both between traditions and within them.

Meditation may significantly reduce stress, anxiety, depression, and pain, and enhance peace, perception, self-concept, and well-being. Research is ongoing to better understand the effects of meditation on health (psychological, neurological, and cardiovascular) and other areas.

Guided meditation available for anyone who needs to relieve anxiety, slow down their racing mind, and reconnect.

This is a meditation to help you feel connected and in control of the voice inside your head, your “Inner Critic”. I personally struggled with this voice. When I looked my critic in the eye, I saw myself. A scared, anxious, and lonely version when what I needed was connection and love! Self-love is a practice we need to return to in every quiet moment. If this resonates with you, try this meditation. Give yourself 8 minutes and 26 seconds of time for yourself. Get comfy, grab a pillow, put on your coziest sweater, and let’s begin.

I wrote this meditation during a time in my life where I was unhappy, my fear of the unknown felt bigger than my want to get better. We become so comfortable with feeling uncomfortable, any deviation from this “norm” triggers our fight or flight system. We end up feeling anxious, panicky,  fearful, unhealthy, maybe even neurotic. This meditation is for anyone feeling stuck and fearful of what it would mean to create a new way. I hope you enjoy
